Makroskop

03 Feb 2006

Audiovisual installation Makroskop opened at Museum für Fotografie. From a distance it resembles a giant seashell and its spiral form invites the visitor step inside and get immersed by a continuous flow of black and white photographs and graphics. The imagery mirrors the events of the 20th century through the life of Soviet scientist and illuminate Sergei Chakhotin. Some sort of interaction also takes place, but was unfortunately left obscure in the middle of congestion.
