Total funeral

21 Aug 2005

DotKommuuni reports of a company that creates 'total funeral experiences' - with videoscreens on tombstones and so on. Oh well, maybe time is ripe to publish mine and Josef K's funeral proposal. So, first you dip the corpse in liquid nitrogen, then atomise it with ultrasound pulse. This happens with a help of musical performance by an avangarde musician of your choice. Then the remains are put in the final resting place under Lacie d2 external hard drive, which contains the person's digital legacy - text, photos, sounds, videos - anything such drive can contain. Visitors to the grave can then plug in to the digital remains with their own devices. (d2 Extreme has Firewire 800 / 400 and USB 2.0). Also, the name, years of birth and death and a possible aforism or anecdote can be engraved on the drive's metallic surface.
